The Frozen Lake

Here's one of the nice areas we went to - Lake Titisee. Nope, your eyes are not tricking you - the lake is really FROZEN. The ducks are swimming in ice! Anyway, there's an interesting legend behind this lake. The story goes that there used to be a very rich city where the lake is a long time ago. The people of the city trusted so much in their wealth that they forgot about God and became rather wicked. So God sent down the rain as punishment, and flooded the entire city. Now, there used to be a monastery in this city and legend has it that if you take a boat out in the middle of the lake on a quiet Sunday morning, you can see the bell towers of the monastery under the lake, and hear the ringing of its bells...
