Magnificent Lucerne.......

A city in the middle of Switzerland which took me 2-3 hours to drive from Geneva. It's a modern city which still carries a strong atmosphere of ancient culture.

The famous "Chapel Bridge" which links up the 2 banks of the lake (or river?), with history recorded in german (so we don't understand)..... But still we had a lot of fun :)

The most amazing attraction is this "Dying Lion Monument". The most touching monument I've ever been to. The history behind it was, during the French Revolution, the swiss mercenaries sacrificed themselves to protect King Louis XVI while he was fleeing.

Anyway it so happened that there was this artist singing before the monument, with a tune so sad yet glorious. It turned the atmosphere solemn.......
